What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that contain a string of characters. Unless you have selected the cookie settings in your browser to reject cookies, your device will receive cookies from our system whenever you visit our websites.

Cookies help us to improve our website and to provide a more individualized and personalized service, for example, by storing information about your preferences and allowing us to recognize you when you visit our websites again.

For more information about cookies, please visit: www.allaboutcookies.org.

Our websites use the following types of cookies:

Essential: these cookies are essential to allow you to navigate our websites and use features such as accessing secure areas of the website. Without these cookies, services such as displaying appropriate content based on your device type cannot be realized.

Performance: these cookies collect information about how visitors use our websites, such as which pages visitors access most frequently and when they receive website error messages. These cookies do not collect information based on which we can identify a visitor. All information that these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. They are only used to improve the functioning of a website.

Functionality: these cookies allow a website to recall selection criteria that you have entered (for example, your language preferences or the location function of the region in which you are located). They also provide enhanced, more personalized functionality, such as to re-display changes you have made to text size, fonts, and other parts of the websites. The cookies may also be used to provide services you request, such as watching a video. The information collected by these cookies can be anonymized and they cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.

Social media: these cookies allow you to share your activities on the website on social media such as LinkedIn and Twitter. These types of cookies are outside of our control and interactions with these features are subject to the privacy policies of the company providing them.

Google Analytics: These cookies are used by Google Analytics, which tracks traffic usage, search queries and visits to our websites. Google Analytics stores Internet Protocol ("IP") addresses on its servers in the United States. An IP address is a unique number assigned to each device (such as your computer) that allows it to communicate with other devices on a computer network (such as modems, printers, or other computers). Neither Atlas Intelligence nor Google link your IP address to any information that can personally identify the user. These cookies allow Google to determine whether you are a returning visitor to a website and which subpages of that website you have visited. For more information about Google Analytics cookies, please see Google's privacy policy. Google has developed the Google Analytics browser opt-out add-on for the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, dc.js). If you wish to opt-out of Google Analytics, you can download and install the add-on for your web browser here.

LinkedIn: Our website uses the "LinkedIn Insight Tag" conversion tool from LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company. This tool creates a cookie in your web browser that enables the collection of the following data, among others: IP address, device and browser characteristics and page events (e.g. page views). This data is encrypted, anonymized within seven days and the anonymized data is deleted within 90 days. LinkedIn does not share any personal data with Atlas, but provides anonymized reports on website audience and ad performance. In addition, LinkedIn offers the possibility of retargeting via the Insight Tag. Atlas can use this data to display targeted advertising outside its website without identifying you as a website visitor. You can find more information on data protection at LinkedIn in the LinkedIn privacy policy. LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in their account settings.

Mailchimp: We use the mailing system mailchimp to send our marketing communications via email. When you click through from one of our emails to our websites, we use additional cookies to track your path from the email to our website. This helps us to provide you with relevant content through our digital marketing channels.

Mailgun: When you register with or use our service, we use the mail service of mailgun for further communication. When you click through from one of our emails to our websites, we use additional cookies to track your path from the email to our website. This helps us to provide the best service for you.

Hotjar: We use Hotjar in order to understand better the needs of our users and to optimise what we offer on this website. Hotjar's technology gives us a better understanding of our users' experiences (e.g. how much time users spend on which pages, which links they click on, what they like and don't like etc.) and helps us to tailor our offering to our users' feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect information about our users' behaviour and about their devices (in particular, device IP address (collected and stored anonymously only), screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), information about the browser used, location (country only), preferred language for viewing our website). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymised user profile. The information is neither used by Hotjar nor by us to identify individual users nor is it merged with other data about individual users.

The expiration date of our cookies is 13 months.
